Mum left school at 14 to work in a cotton mill, giving up the chance to go to college and who knows what else, if things had been different. At the outbreak of the War she joined the A.T.S. Whilst stationed on Bodmin Moor she met Arthur Stanley Willers and they married on the 28th August 1943
