Bernards speech on 2nd November 2009

Mum was the most loving, caring person I know. She had a kind word for everyone, (except for a nurse at Addenbrookes Hospital, who forgot Mums' dinner!) Mum could look at problems from all sides and always gave good advise. Some of you here will have benefitted from her,Words of Wisdom. Mum wanted to hhave daughters and though she never had any of her own, she has lots of girls that love her like their own Mum and I'd like to thank them for all they did for Mum over the years. I have so much to thank Mum for! She brought me into this world, but She also helped keep me in it. When I could see no point in life, She was always there, just a phone call away. She helped give me the strength and the will to get through all those dark days and turn my life around. It was a privelege to help care for Mum in Her last weeks with Us. They were the happiest, sad times I've ever had and it was the easiest, hard work I've ever done. I'd like to thank my Brother Terry and Mum's Carers, especially, Charmaine & Chris for helping me to pay back a little bit of, all the Love my Mother gave me in abundance to me. When I was younger, I was often called a 'Mummy's Boy',Well,If I was, I'm Proud that I was. Mum, I was Your 'Little Boy', and Your'Little Boy',will always Love You.
